Is there any way that i can stop things like this from happening in my school?

unfortunately these things happen, try to talk to the head or an istant head and tell him that your friend didn't do anything. for your teacher you can either just ignore it as these things happen or if you want to you can report him to the head (i think it won't change anything really anyway).
