Why do i feel lke this? Why hasny he called me?

ok so im 27 weeks pregnant and i split with my babys dad a week ago as i felt he was having too much contact with his ex (i asked a question about this before) he has 3 children with her and they were calling each other up to 5 or 6 times a day and i felt once or twice wouuld be more appropiate. Anyway i had some symptoms last week and had to go into hospital today for a check up and now have to go every week, He called at 1 to see how it went and i told him i have to go back at 2 for the results so he said he would call me back. It is now 10.15 and i have not heard from him. He does not have a phone at the moment and uses his stepdads phone. The most annoying thing is that i know he has spoken to his ex as she will call him on his step dads phone but im not liked very much by his family so i feel like i cant do that, plus i no it sounds silly but i want him to contact me first! I miss him so much but he wont do the one thing i have asked him to do to make the relationship work! Why?
