Group on stage hypnosis is a total scam, right? It happened to me?

I think I understand it. It happened to me They get a big group on stage and make them start off small by saying "if you hypnotized lean your head all the way back" and those that want to play along lean back. Then they keep talking slow softly and then ask the people to do more like raise their hand. Next think you know if your on stage you can't back out because you look like the big faker so you end up doing all this ridiculous things and then you continue to hide it from everyone so you don't look like a weirdo. I know everyone else was faking but no one will admit it.
