Question about missing your period and still getting a neg hpt?

Is there anyone out there who has missed their period and still got a neg HPT but was pregnant. I am two days late and still no BFP. I plan to make a dr appt if I dont get it by wed. Any advice will help. Also i have been charting my basal body temp and my temps are still high. Thanks in advance!!!
